How to convert your picture to icon


You might be interested in this tip..because during my childhood I was having a habit of collecting icons but I don’t know to create one on my own… For people who like to create their own icon for their files this will surely help…hope so :)
Step 1: Open the picture which you want to convert into icon via MS paint.
File>OpenFile>Browse

Step2: Use free form select tool or select tool to select the portion of the picture which you want to convert into icon
Step3: Cut the desired portion using ctrl+x
Step4: Now save the file using ctrl+s command and important part is name the file like name.ico
Step5: And in save as type select 24-bit bitmap
Step6: Right click select properties choose desktop and select customize desktop and select any of the files in desktop
Step7: Click change icon and search and select the file you created.
Now you are done :)
