If we close the laptop lid ,it goes into standby mode. So we can’t download stuffs. Xp has an option to keep our laptop not in standby mode. Now I will explain how to do this…
There is an feature in XP named power options to select the mode when we close the lid of the laptop
How to access power option? Its simple . Navigate to Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> Power Options.
Now navigate to Advanced tab . There you can see three options titled under Power butons
Do select the option you need from the When I close the lid of my portable computer , When I press the power button on my computer and When I press the sleep button on my computer..
Now you are done …simple na :)
